Tenute Rubino, Brindisi.

In the mid-Eighties, the Rubino family began acquiring a number of estates in Brindisi’s countryside. Within a decade the family owned more than 500 hectares of land, 200 of which are devoted to high quality viticulture. In the year 2000 the firm inaugurated a state of the art vinification and ageing cellar in Brindisi, thus completing an entrepreneurial project centred upon the production of fine wines. Vintage after vintage Tenute Rubino has yielded wines with a very clear-cut personality, whilst valorising indigenous varieties through attentive oenological techniques. Tenute Rubino’s four estates (Jaddico, Marmorelle, Uggìo and Punta Aquila) form a veritable miniature continent: the same varieties, planted in different areas, generate very different yet truly identitary wines. The cellar is the firm’s beating heart, a cutting-edge building devoted to precision oenology.
