'I vini del Salento nel mondo' is a project that aims to modernize the image of Salento's wines.
Seven distinguished brands join a new project for the internationalization of Salento’s quality wines, led by the Puglia Best Wine Consortium.
"I vini del Salento nel mondo" is a project that aims to modernize the image of Salento's wines, especially in developing markets, where new generation consumers are moving towards non-conformist wines with clear-cut identities; The project "I vini del Salento nel mondo" has responded to this trend by investing in the promotion of its sun-drenched territory and of its indigenous, identitary varieties, through internationalization projects geared towards specific markets. The project's communication strategy for 2010 and 2011 has focused primarily on Brazil, Canada and China, by promoting direct contact with buyers, opinion leaders, and the press from these countries; the organization of tasting seminars during international trade fairs, led by Masters of Wine and renowned wine personalities, has been instrumental towards this goal. The most important appointments: ExpoVinis Brasil in São Paulo (26th-27th of April), the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Fair (3rd-5th of November), and the Italian Trade Commission’s Grandi Degustazioni, in Canada, from the 24th of October to the 3rd of November. The members of the project "i vini del salento del mondo" are: Agricole Vallone, Candido, Cantine Due Palme, Consorzio Produttori Vini di Manduria, Conti Zecca, Tenute Mater Domini, Tenute Rubino.
